 Our congregation is incorporated in the State of New York under Section 402 of the Not For Profit Corporation Law (Religious Corporation) and according to IRS publication 1828, Synagogues are automatically Non-Profit (501c3) corporations.  We are therefore authorized to accept tax deductible donations and issue receipts for tax-deductible donations exceeding $250.00 per individual.

Latest New Moon Sighting
At sunset on Thursday, 25 September, the first light of the new moon was not sighted anywhere in the land of Israel or neighbouring countries, thus making Shabbat, 27 September, Rosh Hodesh HaShevi‘i [New Moon day of the seventh month] and Yom Teru‘ah [Day of raising the voice].

In Memorium


It is with great sadness that we report that our brother Eliyahu Ben-Shalom Moussa (Pessah), of San Carlos, California, passed away on Sunday, 6 November 2011. May his memory be blessed.

It is with great sadness that we report that our brother Eliyahu Ben-Mosheh Dabbah, son of Hakham Mosheh Dabbah of Jerusalem, passed away on Sunday, 5 December 2010. May his memory be blessed.

It is with great sadness that we report that our brother and former Chief Hakham of the community in Israel Hakham Hayyim Ben-Yishaq Levi passed away on Shabbat, 25 July 2009. May his memory be blessed.

It is with great sadness that we report that our brother Mourad Ben-Mosheh El-Kodsi, of Rochester, NY, passed away on Tuesday, 25 December 2007. May his memory be blessed.

It is with great sadness that we report that our brother Rahamiël Ben-Yosef Bölekçan, father of Hakham Avraham Ben-Rahamiël Qanaï, passed away on Wednesday, 22 August 2007. May his memory be blessed.
