What
is Karaism?
Simply
put, Karaism is the practice of classic, Biblical Judaism. This simple
statement implies many things. This implies that Karaites only recognize
YHWH, the God of Israel, to the exclusion of all other gods or sons
of gods. This implies that Karaites only accept the TaNaKh, the Hebrew
Bible, as sacred, authoritative text, to the exclusion of all other
putative sacred texts. This implies that Karaites recognize only Moses
and those prophets of the TaNaKh as legitimate representatives and
